Community Centre for War Veterans Olomouc invites you to NATO Days

The Community Centre for War Veterans Olomouc will participate in the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days for the third time, offering interesting information about the activities of the centre and entertainment for children.

At the presentation stand of the Community Centre for War Veterans Olomouc (KCVV), visitors will be able to find out interesting information about the Centre and its activities. Promotional materials will be available, but most information will be provided by the staff of KCVV Olomouc. For children there will be colouring books, jigsaw puzzles and other easy creative activities with a veteran theme.

An important goal of the KCVV Olomouc is to spread the general awareness of the historical tradition of our war veterans as much as possible. For both the military and civilian public, the centre organises popular educational lectures on less common military topics, exhibitions with the theme of war veterans, guided tours of the garrison town and excursions to the nearby Fort XVII in Křelov.

The centre also organises social gatherings, lectures, workshops, shooting competitions and other events. Some of the most popular ones include the Children's Day with the Army or the Suburban Camp for children of war veterans. KCVV Olomouc is also involved in organizing events such as the Czech Cup of Wheelchair Athletics and the international championship in athletics for the handicapped called the Czech Open.

The Community Centre for War Veterans Olomouc was established in 2019 and serves as a place of recreation and educational activities for war veterans or their family members. The center also assists veterans and their family members in dealing with work, personal and family issues.
